In the last 5 years the Friends have donated over £760,000 pounds to improve equipment and facilities at the hospital.

In the last 10 years the Friends have donated over £1.3 million pounds to improve equipment and facilities at the hospital.

We have received nearly £1m in legacies in the last 10 years.

We depend on the income we receive from legacies, which are invested, to fund about half of the cost of projects.

Urgent Treatment Centre - Lewes Victoria Hospital

The Friends contributed £331,000 towards the cost of developing an Urgent Treatment Centre at Lewes Victoria Hospital, which opened on Wednesday 29th April 2020. The UTC is an upgrade on the much-loved Minor Injuries Unit, and it will provide a very valuable addition to healthcare provision in our community for years to come.

The role of the UTC is to provide assessment and treatment to patients with minor illnesses and injuries that are urgent but not life threatening. It is a walk-in service, but if you contact NHS 111, they will give you an appointment to be seen by either a doctor or an urgent care practitioner.

**Please note if you have symptoms of Covid-19 such as fever or new persistent cough, you will be advised to call NHS 111 or access NHS 111 online at**
