Ukulele fundraiser

In 2013, while on a motorcycling trip in Derbyshire, Bill Elms stumbled upon a ukulele group in a pub. He was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and by the sheer joy that everyone was having. He came home inspired, and was encouraged by friends to start his own ukulele group in Lewes. We were delighted to be chosen by the Lewes Ukulele band for their latest performance. The band has been performing for over 10 years raising funds for many great causes. On a beautiful sunny Saturday morning in October the group played many popular tunes which delighted the passers by and provided a very uplifting ambience to the High Street. Popular numbers such as Bring me Sunshine had everyone dancing in the streets. £100 was raised for the Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital. Thank you to a wonderful talented troop.
